CIREN AWARD CEREMONY GUIDELINES
I. General Terms
- The Nordic Resilience Organization (hereinafter – CIREN) Award Guidelines define the procedure for recognizing companies, organizations, and individuals for significant achievements in risk management, crisis management, and business continuity.
- The purpose of these Guidelines is to encourage companies, organizations, and individuals to contribute to resilience-building, and to promote innovative solutions, experiences, and accomplishments.
- Nominees for the Award may include Nordic companies, organizations, and individuals whose work aligns with CIREN’s core values: NATO-centricity, political neutrality, synergy, integrity, and psychological resilience.
- Each award category may have only one winner.
- An award may be granted only for achievements within the past two years.
- The winner in each category is selected by a nomination committee.
- The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with CIREN’s Privacy Policy.
II. Nominations
- Community Resilience Award – awarded to a company, organization, or individual who has significantly enhanced the community’s ability to mobilize in overcoming crises or mitigating their consequences.
- Resilience Excellence Award – awarded to an individual who has successfully overcome a crisis in practice or has organized hands-on training in one of the resilience fields:

III. Business Continuity - Special Resilience Award – awarded to a company, organization, or individual for an innovation, solution, or other special activity that significantly enhances resilience in one of the following areas:

III. Application Process
- Applicants must send their application to the email address: info@ciren.ngo.
- The application form (see attachment “Application Form”) must be included with the email.
- Third parties may nominate a company, organization, or individual for any of the award categories by completing and submitting the application form.
- Applications must be submitted no later than one month before the date of the annual CIREN conference.
IV. Evaluation Criteria
- Applications are evaluated by the Nomination Committee.
- Members of the Nomination Committee assess the applicants based on the evaluation criteria specific to each award category.
V. Nomination Committee
- The Nomination Committee consists of 5 members, who are appointed by the CIREN Board.
- The Nomination Committee has decision-making authority if at least 3 committee members are present.
- The Chair of the Nomination Committee is either a CIREN Board Member or a designated nominee.
V. Nomination Committee
- The Nomination Committee consists of 5 members, who are appointed by the CIREN Board.
- The Nomination Committee has decision-making authority if at least 3 committee members are present.
- The Chair of the Nomination Committee is either a CIREN Board Member or a designated nominee.
Positions within the Nomination Committee:
a. CIREN Board Member (serves as Chair or appoints one);
b. CIREN Member (in any capacity/status);
c. Academic Representative;
d. A representative from one of the Nordic rescue services;
e. A representative from a company or organization
- Members of the Nomination Committee may not nominate companies, organizations, or individuals for the awards, nor may they submit their own candidacy for consideration.
- The Nomination Committee has the right to invite applicants for interviews.
- Candidate evaluation is conducted by mutual agreement of the committee. If a consensus cannot be reached, the final decision is made by voting.
- In the event of a tie vote, the deciding vote belongs to the Chair of the Nomination Committee.
