Nordic Resilience Summit 2026
The Nordic Resilience Summit returns to Riga on 10 September 2026, bringing together leaders and professionals from the Nordic, Baltic, and NATO resilience community for a focused morning on preparedness, civil protection, and practical cooperation across society.

The Summit will take place at the National Library of Latvia from 9:00 to 13:00 and will be available primarily to audiences across the Nordic-Baltic region through DELFI broadcasts in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. As in 2025, public broadcasters across the Baltics will also be invited to broadcast the event.
As hosts, we are delighted to welcome the Nordic-Baltic resilience community back to Riga. Alongside the programme, we want the Summit to carry the spirit of Latvia as well: generous conversations, new partnerships, and opportunities to experience the vibrant and hidden spaces of Riga with enthusiastic local hosts.
This year’s programme will explore practical approaches to whole-of-society resilience, business preparedness, and military-civilian cooperation. Together, these themes reflect CIREN’s mission to strengthen the ability of communities, businesses, civil society, and the public sector to prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises in an era of hybrid threats, pressure on critical infrastructure, cyber risk, and contested information environments.
Stay tuned for the latest updates as new speakers and programme details are confirmed.
Programme Streams
The 2026 Summit will be organised from 9:00 to 13:00 around three programme streams:
- Leadership and Whole-of-Society Resilience
How can leaders build trust, readiness, and coordinated action before a crisis begins? This stream will look at resilience as a shared responsibility across public institutions, communities, civil society, media, and the private sector.
- Business for Better Preparedness
Preparedness is also an economic and operational challenge. This stream will focus on business continuity, critical infrastructure, supply chains, and the role of companies in strengthening regional readiness.
- Military and Civilian Synergies for Stronger Regions
Modern resilience depends on effective cooperation between civilian and defence actors. This stream will explore how military-civilian synergies can support stronger regions, clearer preparedness structures, and more resilient societies.

The Nordic Resilience Summit 2026 is designed for regional reach. The event will be primarily available across the Nordic-Baltic region through DELFI broadcasts in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, with public broadcasters across the Baltics are invited to carry the programme as they did in 2025.
